Hi,
I noticed all your items copy of brand name from china.
That is a shame for American company.
Shame shame.
Your friend
Shame on you
The new home page has a nice feel to it and is slick and clean, the colours are excelent and images are of high quality. The meta keywords are good but maybe you would consider adding items.
May i enquire why your usage has been constantly dropping and http://www.swoopo.com is constanly increasing ?
Thanks Nate, we’re excited about it! Thanks for the Kind words!

Hi John, thanks for the feedback! Not quite sure what you mean about “all your items copy of brand names from China”…we have brand names from all over the world, hence our tagline “We’re Your Connection To Excess Inventory From The World’s Most Trusted Brands” and we happen to feel like we are contributing to the recovery of the U.S. economy by helping companies liquidate their excess inventory while saving customers significant amounts of money during these tough times. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but we beg to differ sir.

Thanks for the comment Ciaran! Our internal traffic numbers are a bit different than Alexa but internally we’re actually focused on many things other than visitor volume and we’re very pleased with how those site performance indicators are trending. Regarding Swoopo, they’re an auction website of sorts but they’ve got a much different model. Every bid entered on the site costs the consumer 75 cents so Swoopo profits from every bid placed whether it lead up to a win or if it was placed by a losing bidder. We’re happy for Swoopo in their trending traffic pattern, but we’re not into their breed of auctions. We’re focused on getting people the best deals on excess inventory and not charging them along the way.

problem: I am new to bidding and wanted to buy two portable air conditioners. I wanted to bid $350.00 for the 2 of them. I did not realize that it would be doubled and be $700.00 If this gets to ubid please e-mail me. I will be calling tomarrow regarding this mess up. My lot #902743622

Nice pages, easy to navigate. Long time customer Only complaint, not closing auction at appointed time, but extending it longer. Lost many items because I went to bed thinking I had won.
I bought 2 things on uBid in the past month: a Compaq laptop (brand new! impeccable and inexpensive), and a Samsum digital camera (refurbished; high-end model at affordable price). I was really PLEASED with the experience of shopping at uBid.com. Products arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Your customer service people on the phone are TERRIFIC. Very helpful, and when they say, “we’ll call you back”, they MEAN it. It’s rare and refreshing to find on the internet a great store for cool products, such as uBid. Keep up the good work!

Your shipping rates on multiple items are way out of line. That’s where you are making your profit, and that is not fair.
I bought a box of 12 of the same items, and paid almost $60.00 for the shipping. If I had brought that box to UPS, I know the shipping would not have been more than $15.00, if that much.
Thankfully, I only paid $1.00 for each item. But any hopes of doing any reselling are destroyed because with the shipping added on, I’m back to full retail markup.
Won’t be doing much business with you at these rates.

Hi Alan,
This is Ryan from uBid. I understand your frustration with the shipping rates and we are working with our sellers to alleviate this issue. There is a box on the product page that calculates shipping for you by entering your zip code before you bid to see the shipping rate. May I suggest using that in the future to avoid the shipping charges you see as unfair. We are continuously working to get better so thank you very much for your comments.
